Preparing Children
for
Life
Fort Scott Christian Heights understands the value of a good education; and an education with good
values. A Christian based education is more important than ever in
our changing world. Many of the values we once took for granted are simply
not taught in our society anymore. Christian education blends academic
achievement social skills and athletic training with a solid Biblical worldview to prepare your child
for both life in the world and life in eternity.
As a private, Christian K -
12 school FSCH has been educating children
since 1947. In the last 62 years 399 students have graduated from our program. We currently
average about 70 students per year in grades K-12.
Classroom Philosophy and Academic
Curriculum
FSCH maintains a traditional classroom
format. Grades K-6 stay in one room with a teacher, while Jr. High and
High School students change classrooms and teachers for each course.
FSCH uses a combination of the most
respected curriculum available, including: Bob Jones, ABEKA and Saxon.
Our goal is to provide a creative, safe and respectful learning
environment to maximize your child's educational potential. Each of
our students gets the individual attention they need to succeed.
Biblical Worldview and Devotional Emphasis
FSCH has a commitment to teaching
Biblical principles, while helping our students to develop a personal
devotional life. The Bible is regular part of our school day.
Grades K-6 start the day with a devotional time. Grades 7-12 have a
30 minute Bible class Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We have a
Chapel service for the entire school twice a week - Tuesdays and
Thursdays.
